Richard Bone's ambient videos "Omyma" and "The Healing Whisper" are, in essence, a form of electronic mandala. Created as a visual aid for meditation, yoga or reiki, the soft geometric shapes slowly evolve and morph over the course of the two fifteen minute pieces. The music is serene and floating. It gently lifts the spirit and carries the soul to peaceful and tranquil destinations. It is, in the most modern
sense of the word, music for a new age.

"Short Waves: 12 Brief Excursions Into Surreal Video" combines the moods and rhythms of today's ambient electronica and matches it with 12 impressionistic videos each ranging between two and three minutes. The idea was to create 12 concise pieces that capture the viewer's imagination but then, like an elusive dream, are gone. Some of the pieces are dark such as "Delonyka" with its menacing eyes peering into the soul. While others are more upbeat, like the jazzy trees of the DVD's
opener, "Arboratora". Each of "Short Waves" 12 videos are unique with the whole being even greater than the sum of its parts.
