Saturday, May 17th was the day for digging out where the foundation will go. Above left shows Mike Fletcher getting into position to begin. Above right shows the very first shovel full as it was being removed.

These images show John Paine checking that the foundation area is level. The lower right one is him working the area under what will soon be our new living room!

These two images show the foundation area after they were finished. The one on the left is looking from the area that will be the office toward the garage/kitchen side. The right one shows the garage area looking toward the living room. The unworked area is for the garage pad and will be prepared at the same time they do the work for the patio slab.
