Information about the
2012 IDAHO ARTISTRY IN WOOD SHOW
INVITATION TO ARTISTS WHOSE WORK INCLUDES WOODTURNING, WOODCARVING, WOODBURNING, MARQUETRY, SCROLLING, FINE WOODWORKING,
GOURDS AND INTARSIA.
The 2012 Idaho Artistry in Wood Show will be held Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26 at the Boise Hotel and Conference Center, 3300 Vista Ave., Boise, Idaho with support from Woodcraft. Competitors from all skill levels, Beginner – Expert, are invited to submit their
entries for display and judging. For the first time this year cash prizes will be awarded. The show will also include vendors, a banquet and auction. The Idaho Artistry in Wood Show is one of the leading displays of wood art in the Western United States. Registration will take place on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 12-6 p.m. at the Conference center. Detailed information on the show can be obtained from the following member groups of the Idaho Artistry in Wood Association: Idaho Woodcarvers Guild, Treasure
Valley Scrollers, Southwest Idaho Wood Turners Association, Ada County Woodworkers and Idaho Gourd Society.
The cost of participation in the show is $3 per entry for pieces pre-registered by February 15, 2012 and $5 for registrations at the door. Youth 16 and under may compete without cost.
One very lucky winner will walk away with $150.00 in cash from the IAW, a $50.00 cash prize from the winner's club and this gorgeous handmade in Idaho hickory wood ribbon (measures 11" tall x 6" wide) as the Best of the Best Award. Many other awards will be handed out too, so be sure and get your entries in!
