We started at 8 AM with 23 lathes and about 14 workers putting the pens together and packaging them. At 10AM we had completed 300 pens, when we quite at 1PM we had 1,261 completed pens with approximately an additional 40 waiting for pen parts. With all the people participating we had around 45 folks doing all kinds of jobs during the day. We want to give thanks to Steve Young and Aaron Cornell plus all the people who did all the prep work on the pen blanks. Steve is going to retire from heading up the project and Aaron is going to take over.
These pens go out to military personnel all over the world to show our appreciation.
