Monday morning we met the crew from Design Air who came in to begin setting up the heating/cooling system and installing the duct work.

After unloading boxes of vents and ducting, they began cutting holes for the floor registers and running the metal duct work and return air registers. They also installed the dryer vent and exhaust fans in the ceiling.

Above right shows the return air ducting that will run through the chase behind the washer & dryer. The tubing is so huge that a special furr-out will need to be built to hide them.

Above left - The main return register that was installed above the upstairs hallway. (We've asked that it be moved out a little further - over the stairs so we can install lighting above the hall area later.)
