Backroads Music - A review by Lloyd Barde
(03/2002)

DISORIENT
Richard Bone

Disorient is more about orientation than what Dis is. We refer to Richard Bone as "the artist who can do no wrong" and that tenet is upheld once again. And this music is different than the Bone servings that have been dished out before. In fact, hearing traces of artists as diverse as Patrick O'Hearn and even Moodswings in these pieces gives a sense of the broad, expansive reach that has been made here. At the same time, traces from the Coxa/Electropica/Ascensionism trilogy shine through, as do the earlier beat-oriented releases that Bone has been churning out for years. Bringing it all to the here and now, Disorient is a captivating release with catchy hooks and earthy melodies that will make you want to listen carefully in order to Hear... Now! 4 stars. Bobby Bob says check it out!
