VESPERIA
Richard Bone

Richard's new CD is divided into four sections of gracious and serene electronic ambience. This music, which was commissioned specifically for vespers service at the Holliston church, transcends religious sectarianism, however, and is intended as a soundtrack for anyone interested in the journey inward and the power of thought. As has always been the case for this "artist who can do now wrong," expect a strong effort, careful attention to musical detail, and an overall sound that once again moves outside the borders and boundaries of any preconceived ideas or expectations. The disc concludes with a scored reading of a poem by Lisa Louise Indish which perfectly sums up the inspired tone of "Vesperia". This entire CD was directly inspired by the writings of Ernest Holmes, Florence Shinn and Raymond Holliwell. Sacred, serene, and eminently peaceful would be the simplest way to describe this moving CD.
