TALES FROM THE INCANTINA
Richard Bone
Tales From The Incantina (Quirkworks, 2001) is
a collection of eleven pieces inspired by an
ancient Mexican civilization: soothing melodic
vignettes a` la Brian Eno (In Said Katun), and
ethereal subaquatic classical music stirred by
minimal piano figures (Nagualito, Inevitable
Zen). The upbeat Ley Lines and the tenderly
spiritual Sanctus Sonora rank among his most
inspired moments.
