Piero Scaruffi's review of:
METAPHYSIC MAMBO
Richard Bone
Here is the ambient wizard's alter ego:
a tunesmith of the post-industrial age, in the
tradition of early Brian Eno. Delightful and
precious, but certainly not too adventurous.
Catchy melodies (Cancion Del Arco), stirring
dances (Darkness & Density), synth-pop
arrangements and light humour. While avoiding
the quicksands of new age spirituality, these
instrumental songs are fairly conventional
ditties that rarely become inspirational. But
then maybe they were not meant to be: Bone the
pop connoisseur can afford the luxury of
having his audience sing along!
