Richard Bone's "Short Waves" CD is the soundtrack to the DVD "Short
Waves: 12 Brief Excursions Into Surreal Video" combined with extended
bonus versions of 4 of the tracks. The mood ranges from the dark and
foreboding tones of Delonyka to the more upbeat, like the jazzy
electric piano lines of Arboratora. Like the DVD, each of the 12 main
pieces are unique and influences as varied as Harold Budd and Bob
James can easily be heard. The music, as well as their companion
videos, were carefully crafted over the course of a year and a
half. They weave their way into the listener's imagination and then
vanish
like an elusive dream!
