Sonic Immersion
- A Review by Bert Strolenberg
(2013)

ANTHOLOGY
RICHARD BONE

Through the many years of reviewing electronic music, I’ve been able to get to know a fair share of the music created by US-based ambient composer Richard Bone, also owner of the label Quirkworks Laboratories.

Regarded as one of the founding members of the New York electronic music scene, Mr Bone always pursued an original, but sometimes also awkward, strange and abstract road through the genre: he never sticked to one particular formula or set of sounds, but always continued his quest for the right expression of mood and/or atmosphere.

"Anthology" brings an overview of the work of this versatile, productive and enigmatic composer, offering 18 pieces from his extensive self-released discography (plus the previously unreleased compositions "Always Drifting Down" and "My Pretty Debris") that will hopefully attract more listeners to Richard’s eclectic and unique soundscapes.

Although the 20-track album is available as a digital download, AD Music can also provide a double cd-r edition of "Anthology" upon request.
